Monet’s Gardens at Giverny & Versailles

Today we went to Giverny and Versailles.  Giverny is the estate where Monet lived for about 40 years painting his landscapes and studies in light and color.  There are 2 gardens, the water garden, and the flower garden.  Both are stunning.  This is me at the water garden.  It’s easy to see how he was able to paint such beautiful scenes.

The Fountains in Versailles only run on Sundays during the summer.  Unfortunately, we aren’t here on a Sunday, so this is the beautiful fountain in the beautiful garden at Versailles.  They were playing lovely classical music, to give us a real sense of the royal life.
